1. "And" используется между повторяющимися глаголами для эмфазы или демонстрации продолжительности действия.

2. Если "and" используется между словами противоположного смысла, то это часто делается для того, чтобы подчеркнуть затраченные усилия (напр., работать день и ночь и т.д.)
